MSNBC article on Nintendogs

...looking back I can understand why "Nintendogs" was a huge hit in Japan last year — Japan, home of the lowest birth rate in the first world.

- Tom Loftus, Man's best friend goes virtual with 'Nintendogs'

Not a great article (there have been better, and more recent), but it is nice to see some of the more obscure videogame culture hit a very mainstream area of the web. And in a positive way, for once. Well...except for the birthrate dig (I guess).

News About Dallas

I've got some bad news. Dallas, office mascot, loyal housecat, and featured photo subject on this blog, has died at the age of 14. Dallas had been ill off and on for the last year or so, but he took a turn for the worse over the last two weeks. He will be greatly missed.

Your pants will not go "foom"

Nano Toxicity: "...nanoparticles present potential health risks to the general public wearing pants..".

Not the best science article ever, but I loved that line.
